I’ve been managing my own rental properties but I’m ready to step back, what do I need to know?

For Landlords to consider:

  1. What matters most to you with your rentals? Is it having the security of long-term stable tenancies; building equity for your next property purchase; getting enough income to pay for your travel plans; building security for your family or retirement?
  2. Do you want to be involved with maintenance, or would you rather be hands-off?
  3. Yes, you still get to give final approval in selecting the tenants!
  4. If you want to see in-person how the house is being maintained, you have the option of an annual walk-through with your property manager.
  5. Worried about what happens if your circumstances change and you need to sell one of your properties? Ruby Housing has plenty of experience managing this with the tenant and sales agent and ensuring a smooth transition.
